Day 3 in Heraklion
6th of November 2019
We started the day with a visit to the Aquarium of Heraklio “Thalassokosmos” a few kilometers outside our city. Our Erasmus friends had the opportunity to see the main marine life creatures of our Mediterranean sea!
We continued with a day trip to the East part of Crete. First we went by a small boat to the Historical island of Spinalonga, once a very significant fortress, which was stigmatized by the fact that from 1903 – 1957 was a leper colony.
Agios Nikolaos, a very popular touristic city was our destination after that where we had lunch by its famous “lake” and a walk around its graphic streets.
