Day 4 in Heraklion

A day in the city of Heraklion.

One of the most visited places, the Archaeological Museum was our first station. The teams of all countries  were guided in its rich collections consisting of findings of Prehistorical and Historical periods of Crete and mainly of treasures found from  the Minoan times.

The sailing adventure with the perfect weather conditions was to be next. The Sailing Club of Heraklion, with 3 of its sailing boats offered us an unforgettable experience in the old port of Heraklion.

Afterwards, we visited the Fortress of Koules and admired the beautiful view of the city and the sea.

Lunch break consisting of sea goodies near the old port of Heraklio. The students had the chance to search for, visit and take pictures of the main monuments of the Venetian history of our city during a treasure hunt in the center.
