Day 5 in Heraklion

8th of November 2019

In the morning we met at the grave of the famous Cretan writer N. Kazantzakis, which is located on top of a bastion at the Venetian Walls of Heraklion city. We walked on the Venetian walls enjoying the view of the city below and ended to the coastline to the Pancretan Stadium where all the participants had the chance to exercise in the pool, play a water game and try the row simulator.

An interesting visit to the Natural History Museum was next where, apart from all the rich collections, the live museum and the dioramas of the Mediterranean environments, the Erasmus participants had the chance to experience real simulated earthquakes.

Back to school for some video making by the students and evaluation of the programme of the week for the teachers.

This special and full of activities week ended in the most heartwarming way with a farewell party held in our school with food offered from the host families and the Parents Association of our school. We had a great time singing and dancing, exchanging presents, giving certificates, watching the videos the students made for each one of the five days they spend together.

A lot of laughing and crying during our “saying goodbye” party to our friends

See you at our next meeting!

Please watch the video of our last day together!
